Drama Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated Drama Teacher to join an inclusive and dedicated Secondary School in the Rossendale area. This part-time (Mon - Thu) temporary position requires a passionate educator who can deliver high-quality teaching to KS3 and KS4 students. The role offers a structured work week from 08:30 to 15:30, starting after May HT 2024.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Preparing, planning, and delivering high-standard Drama lessons to ensure the continuous development of pupils.
  • Marking and monitoring classwork, alongside setting targets for future progress.
  • Establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers.
  • Having a clear understanding of the needs of all pupils.
  • Monitoring pupils’ progress in line with the school’s practice.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Recent relevant experience of teaching Drama at KS3 and KS4.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Reliable, committed, and able to demonstrate the qualities of a good role model.
  • Good interpersonal skills; trustworthy, punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
