This well-established, market-leading organisation based on the outskirts of Guildford is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. You will be joining a friendly organisation that offers great flexibility and a fantastic working environment. This role will be offered on a part time basis where you will be working 3 days a week with flexibility on which days you work. Furthermore, this is brilliant role for an experienced Bookkeeper that is looking for a stable role and a new working environment.

Part Time Bookkeeper - About The Role

In this role you will be reporting into the Managing Director and will have a support team of 2 alongside you. You will have overall responsibility for the finance function and will be required to liaise with their external accountancy firm.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Managing the day-to-day financial activities of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for management and providing insights into financial performance
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Daily banking and reconciliation of all bank accounts
  • Preparing weekly cashflow reports and processing weekly payment runs
  • Sending out customer statements and dealing with any queries
  • Posting payroll journals and pension contributions
  • Processing staff expenses and credit cards

The successful Part Time Bookkeeper will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • AAT qualified or QBE candidates will be considered
  • Previous experience of using Xero would be beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail
