Part-Time Bookkeeper - About The Role

This is a varied and dynamic role where you will be responsible for a portfolio of 20-30 clients. This is a part-time position and could be anywhere from 22 to 30 hours a week depending on your availability, with enhanced flexibility during the school holidays to ensure you can fit work alongside your external commitments. Our client values a work-life balance and understands that requirements and circumstances can change.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with management accounts by preparing monthly reports and reconciliations such as depreciation, accruals and prepayments
  • Preparing and processing monthly journals
  • Using Xero and QuickBooks for bookkeeping and producing monthly reports
  • Processing and filing VAT returns
  • Liaise with clients and resolve any client queries

The successful Part-Time Bookkeeper will have:

  • Experience working with multiple clients at either a firm of Chartered Accountants or an outsourcing business
  • AAT would be beneficial but not essential if you have the experience
  • Extensive experience with both Xero and QuickBooks is essential
  • Strong working knowledge of current VAT rules and requirements
  • Excellent communications skills and enjoy working with various clients
