Part-Time Accounts & Contracts Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Accounts/Contracts/Assistant to join our small friendly back office Accounts & Contracts team on a Part-time basis. The role is to assist the Finance Manager and contribute towards the smooth running of the financial side of the business.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to work as a member of a close team, but also be able to take initiative and prioritise/ be proactive as an individual.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Experience with Xero Accounting software an advantage
  • Some HR/IR35/Contract compliance knowledge preferable
  • Using Microsoft Teams for training & meetings

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Answering the phone and dealing with general Payroll/Accounts calls and queries
  • Receiving and responding to any Payroll/Accounts/Contracts emails
  • Liaising regularly with Account Managers about their Clients and Contractors
  • Generating Contract paperwork and sending it out to Clients & Contractors
  • Inputting data on to our online timesheet system, processing the contractors’timesheets, and generating corresponding Sales and Purchase Invoices
  • Importing data from the Timesheet system to Xero Accounting and generating monthly/quarterly reports
  • Allocating Remittances on Xero and chasing any outstanding payments as necessary
  • Processing Payments to suppliers
  • Working with Excel spreadsheets/generating reports as necessary
  • Using Microsoft Teams for meetings

Hours:Part-time/20 hours a week with potential to increase to Full time hours long term. Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm plus occasional afternoon Holiday cover preferable but this could be negotiable for the right candidate.

Salary: Salary will be Pro-rata & based on your experience
