Accounts Assistant (Part time)

Location: Salford

Hours: 25-30 hours per week, 8:45 am - 5:15 pm

Reporting to: Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Invoicing:
- Process invoicing, manage customer portals, and handle invoice queries
- Maintain customer price listing and credit control procedures

- Purchase Invoicing:
- Process purchase invoices, assist in internal authorisation, and reconcile supplier statements
- Manage supplier queries

- Cash:
- Assist in processing daily cash and bank reconciliation
- Allocate customer receipts to appropriate ledger

- Nominal:
- Calculate accruals and prepayments, assist in nominal ledger analysis

Other Duties:
- Assist in external audits and stock reconciliations
- Handle ad hoc queries and reporting
- Daily filing and general office support within a small team
- Perform other reasonable tasks as needed

Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills for regular task status updates
- Positive, can-do attitude with willingness to adapt to various roles
- Ability to work independently, especially on days with no other finance team members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize deadlines
- Experience in accounts team (desirable but not essential)
- Familiarity with Sage 200 (desirable but not essential)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
