Job Advert: Part-Time Teaching Assistant (KS1)

Location: Lydney
Hours: 5 mornings a week
Salary: Competitive hourly rate

A vibrant and inclusive educational institution committed to providing high-quality learning experiences for our students. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team and support a pupil in Key Stage 1.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a KS1 pupil, providing personalised support in a 1:1 setting. Your mornings will be filled with purpose as you assist the student with their learning journey.Key Requirements:

  • Passion for working with children and young people
  • Previous experience in Primary Education
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to promoting a positive and nurturing learning environment

Responsibilities:

  • Support the student's academic progress by providing targeted assistance during morning sessions
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to meet the student's individual needs
  • Monitor and record student progress
  • Assist with classroom activities and resources

Qualifications:

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting
