We are currently recruiting for a Financial Planning practice in St Albans who specilaise in Biblical advise. They are currently looking to recruit a Paraplanner to join their team.

Responsibilities;

Planner Support

  • Work collaboratively with the Planner as part of the financial planning process to provide a high quality service to clients and thris parties.

Client Servicing

  • Establish client relationships recognising / appreciating their level of knowledge , financial aims and lifetime objectives
  • Gather and analyse comprehensive and detailed information from clients and other third parties
  • Prepare for and attend client meetings , when required , taking detailed written notes and follow up on any technical points / actions after the meeting
  • Deal with complex and technical client queries as and when they arise
  • Provide a friendly point of contact for technical enquiries from clients ( and team members and other third parties )

Financial Planning Presentation

  • Undertake research to identify suitable solutions to meet client's needs and to create detailed cash flow models , suitability letters / technical reports and processing recommendations
  • Implementing recommendations once agreed by clients
  • Carry out due diligence on products , investments and providers
  • Produce technically accurate , compliance and concise plans / reports / other documentation
  • Deliver complex financial concepts in a clear easy to understand format / language ( whether written or verbal )

Team support and other duties

  • Work collaboratively with other Paraplanners , Financial Planners and the Administration Team to ensure a consistent and high quality client experience
  • Maintain accurate client records on back - office system , platforms and other IT systems
  • Proactive approach to keeping up - to - date with compliance , legislative changes and new technical information . Findings communicated to the team to ensure the company remains compliant with FCA procedures and third party audit processes
  • Attend / contribute to internal meetings to understand / support / help define the company's approach to client service and financial planning Ensure CPD / training requirements are met and maintained

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Essential Minimum of 2 year's experience working as a Paraplanner in a Financial Advisory practice Practising Christian with a good understanding of financial Biblical Principles Ability to build client relationships through a genuine desire to help individuals meet their financial goals
  • Good understanding of the Financial Planning process and products including a good awareness of compliance Good communication skills , both written and verbal with an ability to explain complex information simply and concisely
  • Awareness of income tax , CGT , IHT , trusts and pension transfers ( DC and DB ) Interest in and knowledge of financial products and markets
  • Ability to analyse and research information and recognise relevance to client's and company needs
  • Excellent maths and IT skills Eye for detail with an ability to deliver accurate , relevant and timely output
  • Working knowledge of back office platforms ( ideally Iress - Xplan )
  • Dedication and the willingness to work as part of a team and independently
  • Preferred ( in addition to the above ) Ideally 5 year's experience working as a Paraplanner in an IFA Excellent understanding of the Financial Planning process , products and compliance Comprehensive understanding of income tax , CGT , IHT , trusts and pension transfers ( DC and DB ) Excellent working knowledge of investment platforms ( ideally Transact )
