Paraplanner

The Company: An expanding Independent Financial Planning practice based in Leeds and looking to recruit a Paraplanner coming from a private wealth advice background. An ambitious firm currently looking to grow both organically and through acquisition.

• Office Location: Central Leeds
• Hybrid Working: Yes - 4 days office | 1 day WFH

Package: £32-40k base DOE + bonus and full company benefits (below):

• Includes 25 days holiday plus stats, 5% pension, 4xDIS plus a flexible benefits package
• 37.5hr working week (Mon-Fri)

The Role: A1-to-1 paraplanning role/remit working across complex private wealth advice and caseloads in supporting of a high-performing Chartered Financial Planner. Duties include:

• Analysis of existing investment and insurance provision to ensure that the client is getting good value for money for their existing insurance and good performance for their investments
• Undertaking research to obtain suitable solutions in the market which can improve the client(s) position
• Preparing suitability reports to reflect the client(s) current standing and recommending appropriate changes to meet their objectives
• Producing relevant and accurate documentation at each stage of the process
• Building and maintaining cashflow analysis
• Attending and participating in client meetings with the adviser
• Liaising with the Financial Services Administrator regarding letters of authority, obtaining illustrations, updating client records etc

The Person: Paraplanning experience a necessity coupled with exposure to supporting IFA’s/financial advisers in a full research/report writing capacity:

• Preferred: QCF level 4 Diploma qualified, with part-qualified candidates also considered
• Required: Technical knowledge and awareness across investments and pensions advice
• Required: Ability to use technical financial planning tools and ideally have some experience of software platforms such as: Intelligent Office, Voyant, Genovo, FE Analytics, i-Pipeline and Dynamic Planner
