Job Description:
As a Paraplanner / Report Writer at you will play a crucial role in providing support to the financial planning team. You will assist financial planners/advisers in various aspects of their day-to-day operations, ensuring that client needs are met efficiently and that regulatory requirements are adhered to. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within the financial services industry while contributing to the success of clients and the company.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Analysis: Assist in conducting comprehensive financial analyses for clients to assess their current financial situations, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.

2. Financial Planning Support: Collaborate with experienced Paraplanners and Financial Advisors to create financial plans, including investment strategies, retirement planning, and risk management.

3. Research: Conduct research on investment products, tax regulations, and financial market trends to stay updated with the latest industry developments.

4. Report Preparation: Prepare client-facing reports, including financial plans, investment recommendations, and other documents in accordance with regulatory requirements.

5. Client Communication: Interact with clients to gather necessary information and address their queries, maintaining a high level of professionalism and client service.

6. Compliance: Ensure that all financial planning activities adhere to regulatory and compliance standards, including GDPR, FCA, and other relevant guidelines.

7. Learning and Development: Participate in training and development programs to enhance your knowledge and skills in financial planning, compliance, and industry best practices.

8. Administrative Tasks: Assist with some administrative duties, such as maintaining client records, scheduling appointments, and managing paperwork.

9. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to provide holistic financial solutions and achieve client goals.

Essential Requirements:

- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A keen interest in financial planning and investment strategies.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, this is a key essential requirement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities
- Highly Organised and able to prioritise workload effectively.

Desired Qualities:

- Progress toward professional qualifications, such as the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent.
- Previous experience in financial services, either writing reports or as a paraplanner
- Knowledge of financial planning software (e.g., Voyant, Intelliflo, provider platforms).
