We are working with a leading independent bridging finance provider based in the United Kingdom. They specialise in offering fast and flexible bridging loans and buy-to-let mortgages to valued intermediaries and clients.

The purpose of this role is to assist with the safeguarding of the legal integrity of operations. Working closely with the General Counsel, the Paralegal will be responsible for supporting senior legal team members and In-House Lawyers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Researching and preparing for legal cases.
  • Drafting, preparing, and proofreading legal documents.
  • Handling confidential case information.
  • Creating reports for in-house lawyers based on case specifications.
  • Monitoring changes to government guidelines or regulations for best practice.
  • Organising legal files.
  • Performing due diligence on contracts and business agreements.
  • Assisting with major projects and coordinating actions.
  • Assisting with the development of internal policies and procedures.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and proactively manage the caseload.
  • Undertaking general administrative duties, such as filing, letter writing, billing etc.

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent.
  • 1 years’ experience working in a corporate legal environment.
  • Strong MS Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
