Paralegal (Family law)

£30,000 - £35,000 (DOE)

Full time, permanent role (part time may be considered for the right application)

Sevenoaks, Kent

Mainly office based with the potential to work 1 day from home

My client is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join their team based in Sevenoaks. You will primarily work with the family law partner, but will also provide support to the litigation team as and when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents related to family law matters such as divorce, child custody, support, and adoption.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant case law, and regulations relating to family law issues.
  • Maintain organized case files, documents, and correspondence.
  • Communicate with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide administrative support to solicitors.

About you

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience working as a paralegal within a family department
  • Strong knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and documentation related to family law matters.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
