Paralegal (Debt Recovery)

Our client is a large local government organisation and looking for an experienced Paralegal to join their team. This is initially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right candidate

You will

• Deal with small, fast and multi track claims;
• Review the prospects of each case and advise clients;
• Negotiate settlements, Issue Court proceedings, and enforce judgments;
• Maintain a high level of client care and build excellent working relationships;
• Deal with litigation claims to include deceased matters under supervision;
• Progress your skills and knowledge in other litigious areas should you so wish.

You need

• To have prior debt recovery experience;
• To preferably have completed a Law Degree/CILEx Level 6 or Legal Practice Course
• To have knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and pre-action protocols from issue to settlement, costs and enforcement.
• To have had experience in small claims - although this would be advantageous, it is not essential.
• To have an excellent comprehension of volume debt recovery and litigation.
