Painter & Decorator

YMCA who are are award winning housing association based in Ealing are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team, responsible for enhancing the appearance and condition of our facilities through professional painting and decorating services. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

Painting: Execute painting tasks using various techniques, including preparing surfaces, applying coats of paint, and ensuring a smooth and uniform finish.
Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primer as necessary.
Decorating: Assist in selecting appropriate colour schemes, patterns, and materials for decorating purposes.
Material Management: Maintain an inventory of painting supplies and materials, ensuring adequate stock levels for ongoing projects.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with painting equipment, tools, and chemicals. Ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance staff and other team members to coordinate painting and decorating projects efficiently.
Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets YMCA standards and addresses any touch-ups or refinishing as needed.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep work areas clean and organised throughout and after the completion of projects.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any additional notes for future reference.
Qualifications:

Proven Experience: Previous experience in painting and decorating
Skills: Proficiency in various painting techniques, surface preparation, and knowledge of different types of paints and finishes.
Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high-quality standards and ensure precision in painting and decorating tasks.

The salary is non-negotiable and is set as £23,805.60 per annum
