Painter and Decorator

£30,202 per annum

Long Stratton, Norwich, Norfolk

Permanent, Full Time

Our client has an opportunity for a Painter and Decorator to join their Planned Improvements team to carry out painting and decorating works both internally and externally on a wide range of building types, including occupied and empty properties, sheltered schemes and any other premises owned by them or those they have an interest in.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertake all painting and decorating work in order to maintain all their premises or those they have an interest in.

  • Undertake painting and decoration work in association with planned improvements, voids, minor works, and small new build contracts.

  • Responsible for all equipment provided by Saffron including van stock, vehicle, tools and materials.

Their ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant experience and knowledge in all types of Painting and Decorating.

  • Experience of working in both occupied and unoccupied properties and on occasions in extreme temperatures and conditions due to seasonal weather conditions.

  • A recognised trade apprenticeship, NVQ level 2 or the equivalent level of skills and experience is required.

  • Able to work as part of a team and also able to work independently without the need for close supervision.

  • Excellent time management skills, including an ability to prioritise workload and meet agreed deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to liaise with various audiences.

  • Ability to use a mobile device (mobile phone/tablet) to manage workload, send and receive emails, access apps to order stock and MS Teams for meetings / training.

  • Ability to participate on the out of hours call out rota.

  • Full, current, valid driving licence.
