Residents are looked after by a highly trained team of professionals that provide the luxury service required to match this iconic building.

They have a fantastic opportunity for a full time Painter and Decorator to join the Engineering team in their five-star deluxe residential property.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ability to work to a very high standard
  • An excellent eye for detail
  • Sound awareness of Health and Safety issues
  • Minimum NVQ level 2 painting & decorating qualification
  • Good communication skills and good level of spoken English
  • Experience of working in a luxury 5* establishment - desirable

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all decoration tasks within the building to 5* standard
  • Maintain cleanliness in painter workshop in accordance with the standards set
  • Prepare painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes/cracks, or removing old paint/wallpaper
  • Measure, cut and apply wallpaper or fabric to walls
  • Mix, match, and apply paints and other finishes to various surfaces
  • Efficiently manage planning and preparation works to minimise disruption
  • Protect surrounding areas with cloth or plastic sheets to ensure cleanliness and to prevent accidental spillages or splashes
  • Move furniture and equipment as necessary to fully access and cover the entire work area
  • Calculate required materials and time estimates for projects
  • Remove fixtures such as doorknobs and light switch covers
  • Oversee paint stock levels and procure paint, brushes, and other supplies from vendors
  • Carry out necessary repairs to plasterboard walls
  • Assist the Engineering team with other duties when required

The role is full time (40 hours per week Monday to Friday but may require occasional night and weekend work).
