This position requires a highly motivated Personnel Assistant who will offer comprehensive administrative and planning support within the public sector and government industry, specifically in the secretarial and business support department.

Description

As part of the laboratory administration team, provide secretarial and clerical support to all medical staff and manager's administrative, clinical and diagnostic services of the department; where appropriate, liaising with staff and other laboratory staff, hospital/health board staff, service users, members of the public and other external contacts.

Profile

  • Experience of working within a demanding/high intensity administrative setting.
  • Experience of successful team working.
  • Experience of diary management.
  • Able to plan and prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines and deal effectively with conflicting priorities.
  • Proficient in use of standard IT packages eg. Microsoft Office with the ability to master new applications.
