AJ Chambers are pleased to be working with a refreshingly modern accountancy practice, who due to continued growth over the last couple of years, are now looking for an Outsourcing Manager to join their team in St Albans.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take responsibility for a full portfolio of SME general practice clients and their outsourcing requirements, whilst also being involved in fee development and regularly attending networking and BD events/functions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Efficiently oversee your own portfolio, encompassing tasks ranging from staff scheduling to WIP management and invoicing.
  • Cultivate and enhance client relationships, both with existing clients and new prospects.
  • Demonstrate a robust commercial acumen in fee structuring.
  • Prepare and review files, working papers, and checklists for presentation.
  • Maintain proactive awareness of pertinent legislation and compliance standards.
  • Generate high-quality business correspondence.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries within your portfolio.
  • Provide quotes and fee estimates within your delegated authority.
  • Engage in client meetings to pitch and tender for new projects, assembling associated documentation as needed.
  • Possess a solid understanding of cloud-based accounting methods and platforms.

Experience required:

  • AAT, ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified
  • Background within an accountancy practice
  • Confident and articulate communication skills, proficient in written and verbal communication across all levels
  • Demonstrated patience in training colleagues.
  • Profound understanding of VAT regulations
  • Exceptional time management, organisational, and prioritisation abilities
  • Previous experience in people management
