OUTREACH SUPPORT WORKER
IMMEDIATELY REQUIRED TO WORK IN COVENTRY

Location: COVENTRY

Hours: 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK

Duration: TEMP (8-12 weeks)

Start: 25th March

Salary: £13.50-15.19/hr

Are you a hardworking and diligent Support Professional ready to start working for an excellent charity who pride themselves on providing top tier support?

Is so, BRC are working in partnership with a national Charity who are recruiting for an Outreach Support Worker. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults who have experienced rough sleeping.

The successful candidate will be engaging with individuals who have adopted street-based living, including rough sleepers and beggars, and connecting them with appropriate services to support their transition to more settled lifestyles. You will help build and develop service users' personal strengths and social network enabling them to take a step towards recovery.

You will need to be able to provide flexible and effective interventions to engage with hard-to-reach service users. To excel in this position, you should be confident in working independently and building relationships with service users and external agencies. Practical advice and support to vulnerable adults, as well as a willingness to provide life skill sessions, are crucial. Main goals of this role include teaching people the skills necessary to maintain a tenancy and helping them move on to further accommodation.

You must have an understanding of the needs of people who are rough sleeping and have in-depth knowledge of substance misuse, alcohol misuse, mental health, and complex needs. Experience working with multiple agencies including facilitate meetings is advantageous.

Requirements:

A Valid UK Driver's Licence with access to a car is required.

All roles involve lone working.

A fully enhanced DBS with a cleared adult and child barred list is required.

Be able to start from Monday 25th March.
