P4 Recruitment are looking for Outdoor Education Manager to work in Llangenny for a 4 month contract.

Role Purpose: As the Education Centre Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the centre's reputation as one of the premier outdoor education facilities in the UK. Your responsibilities will span across various domains including education quality, budget management, marketing, staffing, customer service, and health and safety.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage all aspects of the Centre efficiently and effectively.
  2. Ensure the delivery of high-quality outdoor education curriculum.
  3. Develop a vision, strategy, and delivery plan for the Centre's future.
  4. Manage the Centre's budget effectively.
  5. Deploy resources and staff to meet objectives and targets.
  6. Prioritize safeguarding principles and prioritise the welfare of children and young people.
  7. Line manage, recruit, and deploy staff while ensuring performance management.
  8. Establish and maintain partnerships with schools and organisations.
  9. Foster relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  10. Develop and implement an effective marketing strategy.
  11. Ensure services meet user requirements and maintain satisfaction levels.
  12. Identify and pursue funding opportunities.
  13. Oversee the delivery of educational visits to schools.
  14. Engage with national networks to uphold best practices.
  15. Ensure the maintenance and sustainability of facilities.
  16. Manage health and safety across all aspects of the Centre.
  17. Ensure compliance with inspection requirements and quality standards.
  18. Collaborate with the Advisory Group to enhance provision.
  19. Lead the communication and implementation of policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Degree level education with a professional qualification.
  • Track record of achievement in related fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of outdoor education principles.
  • Significant senior-level experience in education or similar fields.
  • Demonstrated leadership in delivering high-quality services.
  • Budget management and business development experience.
  • Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong commitment to achieving targets and improving outcomes.
  • Valid driving license, including entitlement to drive a minibus.
