My client is part way through an Oracle Finance and HR system programme which seeks to both rectify existing immediate weaknesses and gaps in the current Oracle cloud solution at the same time as designing and implementing a full re-implementation of Oracle.
The business (people and process) change supporting the Oracle technical re-implementation is a complex area, and many users have highlighted it as an unsatisfactory area from the original implementation.
The Oracle Business Change Delivery Lead is expected to take a key role liaising with both external and internal teams and delivery capabilities, and formulate and manage the delivery of the detailed business change plan.

  • Work with the Oracle Business Change Manager to finalise the detail of the Business Change Strategy, with the role of the Business Change Delivery Lead to focus on the detail of how that strategy will be delivered through building, executing and monitoring the detailed business change delivery plan.
  • Liaise with external delivery partner(s) to confirm and plan delivery details (e.g. training sessions, materials, coaching, engagement sessions etc.) aligning this with the detailed business change delivery plan.
  • Liaise with internal delivery capabilities/resources to confirm and plan delivery details (e.g. training sessions, materials, coaching, engagement sessions etc.) aligning this with the detailed business change delivery plan.
  • Liaise with key business sponsors and workstream leads over the detailed business change delivery plan.


Essential Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience in delivering business change in a lead business change or delivery manager role.
  • Experience in implementing business change around back office / ERP / Finance, HR and Procurement
  • Extensive experience working as a business change specialist in previous ERP implementations, preferably Oracle Cloud.
  • Experience in managing third party suppliers and contracts in delivering services related to business change / training etc.
  • Experience working with/in local government organisations desirable
  • Ability to analyse complex problems, design proactive solutions and help implement change in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentational skills, able to liaise effectively with key senior stakeholders.
