Location - Sittingbourne, Kent

Temporary - Permanent

Salary - £12.41 per hour - Overtime is paid at time and a half.

Shift pattern: either 6 am-2 pm or 2 pm-10 pm

My client a prominent player in the metal finishing industry is actively seeking to hire three Operatives to join their expanding team.

Full training is provided; however, the ideal candidate will be able to use a variety of hand tools including hand grinders, drills, and wire cutters.

Duties and responsibilities

• General handling of metal products
• Hand wiring and grinding of products
• Operation of overhead crane equipment - Training will be provided
• Involvement in the metal finishing process
• Inspection of products to ensure excellent quality products are produced for customers
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment
• Manual handling - heavy lifting will be part of this position

Person specification

• Positive with a can-do attitude
• Happy to work in a physically demanding position
• Able to work as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Previous experience in working in manufacturing, production, yard operative or similar roles
