Position Overview:

We are speculatively seeking an experienced and visionary Operations Director to lead our clients' manufacturing and engineering operations to new heights of success.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for manufacturing and engineering operations, driving a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to optimise production processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of operational objectives with overall business goals and objectives.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of managers and supervisors, providing guidance, coaching, and support to maximize individual and team performance.
• Identify and implement best practices, lean methodologies, and process improvements to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational excellence.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and continuous learning, promoting employee engagement and development.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record of success in operations leadership roles within the manufacturing and engineering, with a strong understanding of production processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, improve efficiency, and deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team, build consensus, and drive change.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on driving business performance and growth.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred. Or equivalent by experience.
