Isca Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting an Operations Coordinator for a highly successful business near Exeter. This is a unique and highly varied role where you will be both in the office and visiting sites, no two days will be the same!

The Operations Coordinator will be supporting the Senior Management Team with fleet logistics coordination, compliance, health and safety, and data analysis as well as providing administrative support.

Tasks will include:

  • Supporting HR with recruitment, checking all necessary paperwork regarding apprentices and sponsored workers, monitoring their on-boarding and development.
  • Operating and maintaining the fleet safety management system.
  • Assisting with the logistical arrangements for vessels including transport, parts and stock.
  • Supporting SMT in relation to compliance for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and Marine Management Organisation
  • Coordinating vessel maintenance and sourcing quotes
  • Analysing data and producing reports for board meetings
  • Involved with projects as needed, such as assisting with new vessel ordering/builds, process improvements, etc.
  • Liaising with vessel managers and ensuring full compliance of vessel records e.g. personnel and H&S records.

Salary & Benefits: £27,500pa - £30,000pa + holidays, pension, company vehicle, free parking, staff discounts, support and development and much more!
Hours: 40hr week, Mon - Fri.
Location: Office / Various ports

Operations Coordinator - The Person:

  • The successful candidate will have a proactive, friendly personality and enjoy being in a busy, varied role, able to adapt to changing priorities rapidly.
  • Strong communication skills as you will be liaising with colleagues at all levels by phone, email and in person.
  • Recent administration experience with excellent attention to detail and coordination skills are essential. Previous experience of logistics, fleet or marine management is desirable.
  • Data analysis capability with effective IT skills and the ability to learn in house systems.
  • Organised and able to work using your own initiative.
  • You’ll need to be happy undertaking independent travel to port locations spending approx. 2 days per week out of the office on-site liaising with vessel managers and operators, however on occasion trips may be needed at short notice and some hours maybe outside of office times.

Please note due to locations, you will need to have your own transport.
