JHE & Partners are pleased to be recruiting an operations analyst role, for a progressive manufacturing and distribution business with a strong overseas presence. Working in this hybrid role, based from their office in Skipton, you will work cohesively as part of a team of 3 analysts and a wider team of 11 in finance. You will report into the CEO and form an integral part of the team; analysing and presenting finance data and reports for the group to senior management. This private company oversees a number of subsidiary businesses within the group with revenue in excess of £180m.

Duties include:    

  • Deliver group Purchase & Sales reports including monthly sales reports for the sales team, sales directors, management and business meetings, KPI’s, bonus assessments, forecasting, comparisons with commodity pricing, market trends, comparisons against budgets and previous periods
  • Support the Quality Team with Sustainability reporting data model and ad hoc reporting
  • Analyse data and provide important visualization and dashboards that clearly communicate complex data in a simple form
  • Monthly sanity checks on P&L data across the group
  • Deliver ad hoc group reports to support the business
  • Working in the accounting and controlling team to proactively drive management reporting, analysis and variant analysis

Experience and qualifications

  • A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with sales strategy executions, data analysis and sales analytics; KPI’s reporting and operations management.
  • Experience of developing scorecards and dashboards to show meaningful KPIs and actionable intelligence to senior leaders
  • Ability to derive useful insight from MI/financial information, using statistical and problem solving skills to formulate an understanding of problems, developing solutions and following these through to implementation
  • Advanced Excel skills working with large data-sets (utilising complex formulas and manipulating and transforming data).
  • Knowledge of SQL to retrieve queries
  • Working knowledge of BI tools such as PowerBI, Jet Reports, PowerQuery(DAX)
  • Able to use Date Warehousing and OLAP Cubes
  • Understanding of data management and data structures

This is a superb opportunity to join an ever-growing group of companies working collaboratively with internal teams. Salary will pay between £45,000 - £50,000 + bonus.

The first month will be office-based, then adopting a hybrid model of 3 days at home and 2 in office.
