Their warehouse facility in Yeadon near Leeds, West Yorkshire covers 550k square feet of modern space delivering flexible storage solutions. They are centrally located at the heart of the motorway network, providing nationwide, European and global distribution services.

As an Operational Administrator you will support both the Warehouse and Transport Team in the following:

Warehouse

  • Manage and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, incoming and outgoing shipments, and other warehouse activities.
  • Coordinate with customers to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Deal with customer requests / orders / queries
  • Assist in the preparation of shipping documents and other paperwork as required.
  • Utilise computerised systems to track inventory, update databases, and generate reports.

Transport

  • Manage and maintain Proof of Delivery process
  • Liaise with sub-contractors daily with regards to shipments
  • Manage the process of placing jobs on Haulage Exchange System
  • Dealing customer enquiries and delivery requests
  • Utilise computerised systems to track inventory, update databases, and generate reports

Skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Customer services knowledge
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience in a related role 
  • Knowledge of computer programs used in daily office administration functions such as word processors, spreadsheets and specialised office management tools
  • Proficiency in filing and paper management, including the ability to manage business correspondence and the ability to handle confidential information
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to research and an aptitude for helping other people
