We are The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique, the largest professional association of Alexander Technique Teachers worldwide.

The Alexander Technique is a tool kit for self-development, to help you move well and live better. It teaches how to change long-standing habits that cause unnecessary tension, alleviating back and neck pain and improving posture and performance.

Established in 1958, we have over 800 teaching members and around 100 trainee members, across the UK and overseas.

We are now looking for an Office Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis, working 21 hours per week over three - four days for a 12 month fixed term contract which may be extended.

The Benefits

- Salary of £26,000 - £27,000 per annum (pro rata)
- 20 days’ leave per annum (pro rata), plus eight statutory days leave and annual office closure between Christmas and New Year

The Role

As an Office Administrator, you will provide day-to-day office and administrative support across our organisation.

Acting as the first port of call for our members and the general public, you will oversee the virtual office and telephones, providing exceptional customer service.

You will also undertake a range of financial duties, including creating invoices, checking payments and sending receipts as well as processing expense claims.

Additionally, you will:

- Update our website
- Oversee the shared diary, planning systems and the central filing system
- Assist with an ongoing programme of continuous improvement in how we work

About You

To be considered as an Office Administrator, you will need:

- The ability to maintain accurate records
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping
- Excellent administrative skills
- Proficiency in IT, in particular, Excel and Google Workspace
