Job Location: Brentwood, Essex
Job Type: Fixed Term Contract - 6-12 months - Full Time
Occupational Health Staffing are looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist to work in Brentwood, Essex on a full time Fixed Term Contract for 6-12 Month. The role will involve:
- To work and participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team engaging in team discussion and the decision-making process with regards to resident care, rehabilitation pathways and care plans.
- To ensure a safe, timely, and smooth transitional approach to discharge planning for intermediate care, and slow stream rehabilitation residents.
- To work alongside Occupational Therapy Lead in the provision of assessments and the development, implementation and evaluation of care pathways for our residents.
- To provide specialist advice, equipment, intervention and occupation to maximise a residents’ function and quality of life.
- To contribute to the decision making about occupational therapy strategies in liaison with other therapists for residents with complex physical and sensory disabilities, seeking specific/ specialist advice when appropriate.
- To ensure the delivery in continuity and effectiveness of service by providing regularly reviewed treatment plans, accessible to all staff involved in the care of an individual.
- To communicate effectively with residents, family members and all care staff (internal and external) involved in an individual’s care.
To apply you will need to be an experienced Occupational Therapist on the HCPC register with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.
Rate: £17.02/Hour + Benefits
