Mental Health Occupational Therapy Roles - Band 5 & 6

Job Title: Band 5/6 Occupational Therapist

  • Location: Maudsley Hospital - Lucas Ward
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: TBC
  • Working Pattern: 37.5hrs / 9-5 / Mon-Fri
  • Specific Skills: This is a Female Adult Inpatient Acute MH Ward. The role on involves completing ADL assessments and interventions for identified service users that may particularly benefit and contributing to the MDT therapeutic group programme. There is a strong OT focus on supporting the service user with identifying their own recovery goals, promoting occupational functioning, social inclusion and facilitating a successful discharge from hospital following a period of acute mental health crisis.

Job Title: Band 5/6 Occupational Therapist

  • Location: Maudsley Hospital - Lewis Ward
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: TBC
  • Working Pattern: 37.5hrs / 9-5 / Mon-Fri
  • Specific Skills: Male adult inpatient acute mental health ward based. The OT will be professionally supervised by a clinical lead occupational therapist and there is close network of both inpatient and community occupational therapists working within the borough that makes for a supportive professional environment. The role involves completing ADL assessments and interventions for identified service users that may particularly benefit and contributing to the MDT therapeutic group programme. There is a strong OT focus on supporting the service user with identifying their own recovery goals, promoting occupational functioning, social inclusion and facilitating a successful discharge from hospital following a period of acute mental health crisis.

Job Title: Band 6 Occupational Therapist

  • Location: Jeanette Wallace House
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: TBC
  • Working Pattern: 37.5hrs / 9-5 / Mon-Fri
  • Specific Skills: Postholder will manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based / client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in health, community and home settings. Routinely provide group interventions appropriate to the clients on the team caseload in collaboration with other professionals in the team and liaise with Croydon Social ser vices departments and other external agencies to facilitate clients access, support of needs, physical disabilities and discharge planning.

Job Title: Band 6 Occupational Therapist

  • Location: 14 Charsley Road SE6 3BE, and 103 Callander Road, SE6 2QN (both 7 bedded houses)
  • Start date: April 2024
  • End date: June 2024
  • Working Pattern: 37.5hrs / 9-5 / Mon-Fri

Specific Skills: To manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based /client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.To offer OT intervention for patients living at the SLAM Rehab Community
