Band 6 Occupational Therapist (OT) - (medical, surgical, orthopaedics, neuro)

  • To assess and treat own caseload of patients within the defined clinical area and maintains associated records
  • To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner within your area of specialty
  • Facilitates and supports the discharge planning process
  • Supervises less experienced physiotherapists, therapy assistants / technicians and students.
  • To work flexibly across specialties when requested, and if competency allows

Band 6 Occupational Therapist - Acute Inpatient Rotation

  • Competency to carry out b4 level Physiotherapy assessment between physio and OT
  • Driving license and access to a car to travel between sites and community settings
  • Documented evidence of CPD
  • 18 month to 2 years of post-qualification experience

Band 6 Occupational Therapist - Neurological Rotation

  • Experience of complex discharge planning and of working with external agencies
  • Experience of working with service users and their families
  • Documented evidence of CPD

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
  • Health and Care Professions Council Registration
