Location: Milton Keynes

Contract Type: Locum ongoing contract

Pay Rate: up to £35 per hour (assignment rate)

Main Duties:

  • Operationally manage therapists providing services to the Divisions of Planned and Unplanned care.
  • Provide visible leadership.
  • Take responsibility for the development of therapy services within the Divisions.
  • To support the Head of Therapy in the development of strategic plans in line with the Trust objectives.
  • To deputise for the Head of Therapy in his/her absence and to attend meetings as required on behalf of the Therapy Services.
  • To provide visible clinical leadership to therapists and support workers through direct clinical case management and peer support on a daily to weekly basis dependent upon need.
  • To ensure that the Trusts standing financial instructions are applied appropriately.
  • To be responsible for the purchase, protection, maintenance, and repair of the Trusts’ facilities within Therapy services.
  • To assist with the procurement and approval of goods and services for the Therapy Service and act as an authorised signatory for small amounts, approval of expense forms, pay returns and flexible worker bookings etc.
  • To identify opportunities for income generation and to lead on cost improvement plans (CIPs) in conjunction with the Therapy Services Manager
  • To be responsible for managing a delegated budget ensuring that any issues with non-pay and pay are escalated to Therapy Service Manager at the earliest opportunity.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist:

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy
  • Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist
  • Recent NHS experience
  • Registered with the HCPC
