Job Title:         Nurture Teacher with SEN Experience   

Location:         Waterloo Lodge School, Chorley

Salary:             £30,000 per annum

Hours:             40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 - 16:30

Contract:         Permanent, Term Time only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Nurture Teacher with SEN Experience to join our close-knit team at Waterloo Lodge School located in Chorley.

About the role

As a Teacher, you will deliver lessons to pupils according to their educational needs, in a way that maximises pupil’s achievement and ability to develop. This is a great opportunity for a Teacher who wants to develop creative learning opportunities for pupils with varied and complex needs.

Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure, working with pupils who require extra support with learning, in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.

When it comes to looking after our pupils, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a Teacher to support and motivate some of our most troubled and reluctant learners. You will work closely with our Teachers and Senior Teacher, helping us in our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Qualifications required

  • Degree level with QTS/QTLS (or working towards)
  • SEN Experience
  • BLS or Makaton, but not essential
