Room Leader

Our Client are looking to employ a Room Leader, for their excellent, warm and friendly Montessori Nursery based near, Wembley, London. The Room Leader must be experienced and passionate to give young children the best early years education and care needed for their development.

Requirements for this role

  • Previous experience of leading a Room in a nursery setting with children under the age of 5 is essential
  • A minimum of Level 3 in Childcare or Montessori Diploma is essential
  • Being a positive role model to your team.
  • An extensive knowledge of the current EYFS
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A current and clean Disclosure Barring Services (DBS) Certificate is essential.
  • To be passionate, motivated, have the ability to work well within a team and be able to adapt to a fun and inspiring way of working

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and working as part of a team to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Observing, assessing, and planning for the children’s individual needs, ensuring their development is continuously monitored and create opportunities for children to progress.
  • Keeping up to date and informed of legislation in relation to early education and ensure that all paperwork is in keeping with the EYFS and Ofsted Requirements.
  • Sharing creative ideas and willingly involving your team in decision making for the classroom e.g., activities/planning
  • Delegating tasks to your team to ensure your Forming professional and friendly partnerships with parents and forming secure relationships with the children.
  • Leading and working as part of a team to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Caring for all children and ensuring their personal and hygiene needs are met daily.
  • Becoming familiarised with the nursery's policies and procedures and working within these.
