Room Leader

Here at Nurse Seekers we are proud to be working for a fantastic setting near Rayleigh, Essex. They are looking for a Room Leader for their Baby Room. With an extremely competitive rate of pay and working within a friendly team with a management structure that allows room for progression – this is truly a fantastic opportunity for an already established Room Leader or an experienced Nursery Practitioner looking to take the next step!

Key Responsibilities

  • Have a genuine passion for the Early Years sector
  • Deliver outstanding learning opportunities and exceptional care
  • To act as key person for a group of children, by observing and monitoring. To ensure that all your key children have an accurate, up to date record of their learning and achievements.
  • To plan and lead room supervisions, to support your team reflect on and develop their own practice, focusing on the needs and interests of the current cohort of children as well as the provision, learning and development opportunities provided.
  • Setting up and decontamination of instruments
  • To assist and support the Nursery Manager and Deputy Nursery Manager in the daily running of the nursery, but especially within the Ladybird Room.
  • Communicate with colleagues, parents/carers to meet the individual needs of the children
  • As a keyworker for a group of children you will ensure every individual child’s needs are met, every day
  • Update parents on their child’s day and development with invaluable professional feedback
