An excellent, well established childcare provider is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join the dynamic team located in the Upper Clatford area. As a business with a long history of providing high quality care to children and infants, this business is seeking another genuine, experienced practitioner to join their team to continue delivering their exceptional quality of care. The company promotes a welcoming and inclusive environment for the children and staff alike, utilising best practices to ensure that development and learning for the children is held in the highest importance.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:
While in this position your duties may including but are not limited to:
  • Planning and carrying out key experiences for the children the promotes and supports their learning and development requirements in accordance with framework.
  • Ensuring that assessments, records and reporting is undertaken inline with policies and the correct framework.
  • Completing and providing periodical updates for parents via the online journals provided, to provide narration on assessments and observations about their child.
  • Acting as a ‘key person’ for a specified group of children, taking responsibility for nurturing relationships and gaining and understanding of their needs so that the right level of care can be given.
  • Promoting positive behaviour management strategies with the children, implementing plans such as IEP’s and EHCP’s when needed.
  • Supporting the development of language and communication utilising tools and resources available within the site with the children.
  • Maintaining and building positive relationships with parents and other professionals to support the development of the children and to ensure their welfare is considered at all times.
  • Maintaining high standards for safety and hygiene for all equipment, toys and tools as well as ensuring that areas such as nappy changing areas, food preparation centres, and the bathrooms are kept to standard.
  • Accessing training and development when it is required, keeping up to date with industry standards as well as company policies and procedures, and participating in the performance management review process as needed.
  
What you will need to Apply:
The ideal candidate for this role must possess an Early Years Care qualification at Level 3 or higher, and alongside this, the business is seeking applicants with several years of experience within an Early Years care setting, specifically handling SEND and EAL children, whilst promoting positive behaviour management plans. Additionally, it is desirable for candidates to have knowledge of IEP’s and EHCP’s. All applicants must have a good level of spoken and written English skills, alongside an adequate proficiency with general IT software such as Microsoft Office, and also a confident and compassionate demeanour.

For the successful candidate a starting salary of up to £23,000 will be on offer depending on previous experience and knowledge, alongside a good peripheral package including a competitive holiday allocation, the option of an opt in pension scheme and the possibility of referral bonuses.
