Are you a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner? 

Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a Nursery Practitioner to fulfil a permanent, full time role within a local nursery within Dorset. This role is an immediate start position.

The role is based within a small local nursery, located within the town of Gillingham. As a small nursery, they have dedicated and passionate staff who are able to cater to all needs of the children, and give support when needed whilst encouraging independence. They provide excellent early experiences for the children to help them achieve their own goals and ambitions, and equipping them with the essential skills to progress in their learning journeys. They consider the the nursery as a 'family unit' where all staff work together to provide the very best for both each other and the children.

As the Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible to engage, supervise and ensure the safety of the children within your care at all times. You will provide an educational play experience in line with nursery policy, including creative activities, music and movement, outside play and story time. You will ensure to maintain the security, safety, physical and emotional welfare of the children, reporting any concerns to your room leader and management. You will also liaise regularly with your room leader to ensure that all children's developmental records are accurately maintained, and take part in developmental reviews of the children within your care.

For this role, you will be/will need:

- Experience working within a nursery setting or equivalent

- Ideally have qualifications relevant to the role

- Available as soon as possible, on a full time basis

- Good knowledge of nursery practice and policy

- A passion for working with children 

The salary for this role is currently to be confirmed, based on minimum wage, and is a full time permanent position.
