An opportunity has arisen for a level 3 Nursery nurses to join a forest school nursery in Edinburgh, Scotland. If you have a real passion for being outdoors and can deliver fun memorable and educational outdoor experiences for children under 5 years, we want to hear from you.  

Person Specification:

NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent

Knowledge of EYFS Curriculum

Forest School Experience (Desirable)

Pediatric First Aid (Desirable)


Some of the Nursery Nurse responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a safe, supportive and caring environment for young children in the nursery
  • Working as a Key worker, carrying out regular observations on children and updating their development files
  • Adhering to nursery policy and procedures
  • Working with EYFS curriculum planning age appropriate activities  
  • Promoting diversity and equal opportunity
  • Develop and maintaining professional working relationships with colleagues, parents and other childcare professionals
  • Attending monthly staff meetings and further training as required
