Reed Health & Care Glasgow are currently recruiting for a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to come and join one of our well-established clients based in Glasgow. This is a full time opportunity working 37 hours per week. The salary for this role is £23,000-£26,550 depending on experience.

What this role involves:

  • Working as part of a team to ensure safety, learning and development and parent partnerships for all children and families
  • Plan and lead stimulating and educational activities that engage children through curriculum clubs and trigger boards
  • Act as a key person for one or more children which will include monitoring their progress, updating and maintaining records, discussing and providing any challenging next steps and reporting to parents/ carers.
  • To ensure the maintenance of good standards of cleanliness and hygiene for the children attending the nursery
  • Recording any accidents or incidents accurately
  • Ensuring the company’s collection policy is followed – only a known person collects each child
  • Completely any mandatory training within given timescales
  • Attending regular staff meetings
  • Attending parents evenings
  • Updating care plans
  • Providing the best standard of care at all times

What experience is needed for this role:

  • Must have excellent listening and communication skills
  • Must have an SVQ Level 3 in Childcare
  • Must have previous experience of working in a nursery setting
