Early Years Practitioner (Temporary)

Reed Education are seeking a temporary Early Years Practitioner with Level 3 qualifications and SEN knowledge to join our team for the Summer Term for an asap start. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood education and special educational needs. There is potential for these positions to become permanent for the right candidates.

Day to Day of the Role:

Your working hours will be from 08:00 - 15:30 Mondays to Thursdays.

  • Engaging with children in a range of educational activities, ensuring a high standard of care and education.
  • Implementing SEN strategies, such as using visuals, attention bucket, and Makaton, to support children with special educational needs.
  • Assisting in efforts to create a free-flow setting to accommodate the sensory needs of SEN children.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in the setting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
  • Valid DBS on the update system.
  • Food hygiene certificate obtained within the last 3 years.
  • Up to date WTSC (Working Together to Safeguard Children) certificate within 3 years and refresher annually.
  • Up to date 12-hour paediatric first aid certificate.
  • Experience working with SEN children and familiarity with SEN strategies.
