Salary: £24,023.01 FTE.

Job Type: 37 Hours per week, 52 Weeks per year, Full-Time, Permanent

About The Role:

As a Nursery Assistant, your role will encompass providing essential support in the day to day operations of the nursery. This includes assisting with the care and supervision of children, ensuring their safety and well being at all times. You would help create and implement engaging activities to promote learning and development, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines. Additionally, you may assist with administrative tasks, maintain a clean and organised environment and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure a nurturing and enriching experience for the children under your care.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide care and supervision for children in the nursery
  • Assist in creating and implementing age-appropriate activities based on EYFS guidelines
  • Ensure the safety and well being of children at all times
  • Help maintain a clean, safe and organised environment at the nursery
  • Support children's learning and development through play and educational activities
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and other stakeholders
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping and documentation
  • Follow policies and procedures related to child safeguarding, health and safety
  • Collaborate with other nursery staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment

The Candidate:

  • Has relevant experience / qualifications in childcare such as level 2 / 3 early years educator
  • Possesses a genuine passion for working with young children and helping them learn and grow
  • Evidence of commitment to professional development
  • A good standard of Maths and English
  • Good organisational skills
  • Is knowledgeable about early years
