Nursery Assistant and Senior Nursery Practitioner

Level 2 or 3 qualified

Full time - 40 hours pw

We are currently recruiting 2 x Nursery Assistants, or 1 Nursery Assistant and 1 Senior Nursery Practitioner, for our beautiful, brand new children’s day nursery and preschool in Walton On Thames.

We are seeking individuals who can promote high quality care in a stimulating, rich learning environment which offers wonderful opportunities for all ages of children from 3 months-5 years.

Main responsibilities of the Nursery Practitioner / Nursery Assistant:

• Provide a positive learning environment that offers choice, independence and a range of experiences, whilst meeting all of the children's needs.
• Be able to have key person responsibility and carry out daily and individual planning.
• Ensuring a safe, secure and caring environment for the well-being of the children.
• Assisting the Nursery Management in all aspects of providing day to day high quality childcare.

The ideal candidate will;

• Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe.
• Have previous experience of working with children under the age of five.
• Be qualified to NVQ level 2 / 3 or equivalent in childcare (highly desirable)
• Have a good working knowledge of the EYFS - Early Years Foundation Stages
