This international law firm are currently seeking a talented Associate to join their growing Construction team based in London.

About the team

  • The Construction, Engineering, and Procurement team comprises 30 fee-earners, including seven partners, sixteen solicitors, four paralegals, and two trainee solicitors.
  • The team is divided into two sub-teams, focusing on contentious and non-contentious matters, respectively.
  • Additionally, their diverse clientele includes developers, funders, contractors, sub-contractors, construction consultants, local authorities, Registered Providers, and PFI consortia.

The Role

  • The firm are seeking an ambitious Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor who is self-motivated, driven, and prepared to "hit the ground running" within the busy team.
  • Key responsibilities include independently managing files, negotiating construction contracts, client relationship management, advising on construction procurement, and contributing to business development activities.

Key Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4 years' PQE in non-contentious construction law in private practice.
  • A 2:1 degree or equivalent, along with exceptional interpersonal skills, collaborative spirit, and a proactive attitude are essential.
  • Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong drafting skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of construction procurement methods and industry contracts.
