Wild Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with Yorkshire Ambulance Service to support recruitment for NHS 111 Call Handler's based in Wakefield.

No previous experience is needed to become an NHS 111 Call handler as full training will be given. Although experience within a customer service position is essential, you will need basic computer skills and a great telephone manner.

  • You will be the first point of contact for the general public calling 111.
  • You will deliver high quality, safe and clinically effective health care support over the telephone.
  • This service is open 24/7 so you work as part of a team covering day, night and weekend shifts so you must be fully flexible.

WORKING HOURS & PAY:

  • Weekdays = Hours Worked between 06.00am to 20.00pm During first 12 weeks £10.42ph
  • Nights = Hours worked between 20.00pm to 06.00am and Saturday shifts during the first 12 weeks £14.07ph.
  • Sundays and Bank Holidays During the first 12 weeks £17.61ph.
  • All Pay per hour updates after 13 weeks.

WHO SHOULD APPLY:

  • Candidates must be available for 6-weeks of full-time training (Tuesday to Saturday 8am - 4pm or 4pm - midnight)
  • Candidates must be available for 12-weeks without any upcoming holiday (this is due to training).
  • You must have a flexible approach to working hours.
  • ALL ROTA'S will include a mixture of shifts including nights, early's, 3/4 weekends and 6/8 bank holidays.
  • (please note that rota's are given to you 5 weeks in advance)
