Role Context

Our client are currently searching for a Project Manager to join the team within their Net Zero team. Within this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects related to the transition to a net-zero carbon emissions future. If successful, within this role you would be responsible for overseeing the assessment and planning phases of initiatives aimed at reducing clients carbon emissions and achieving sustainability goals within an organization or community.
Responsibilities:
• Support and coordinate the development of a roadmap for achieving net-zero emissions.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior management, departments, external partners, and community representatives, to gather input, align objectives, and secure support for the transition plan.
• Oversee the assessment of current carbon emissions across various operations, including energy consumption, transportation, waste management, and supply chain activities.
• Analyse data related to carbon emissions, energy usage, and sustainability metrics to identify trends, areas of improvement, and opportunities for emission reductions.
• Identify potential risks and barriers to achieving net-zero emissions goals and develop mitigation strategies to address them
• Keep up to date and informed about relevant environmental regulations, policies, and standards related to carbon emissions and sustainability, ensuring that the transition plan aligns with legal requirements.
• Provide guidance and support during the implementation phase of the transition plan, coordinating activities, monitoring progress, and addressing challenges as they arise.
• Facilitate continuous improvement by monitoring performance, collecting feedback, and adjusting the transition plan as needed to optimize effectiveness and achieve long-term sustainability goals

Experience
• Financial services experience is essential
• Sustainability knowledge / experience is beneficial
• Experience is highly beneficial
• Understanding of corporate banking
• Someone who can show initiative, drive and is keen to learn
• Global stakeholder management skills
• Assessing transition plans
• Collecting and reviewing data
• Being able to understand the process, track and deliver througout
