The company

This role is with a leading Global Toy company who have some of the best brands and most innovative products in the industry! They are looking to add a strong National Account Manager to the team for one year to cover a maternity leave, this is an exciting opportunity to gain some real exposure within one of the best companies in the industry by working on their biggest account, Smyths!

The business boasts a fantastic team and culture, they also offer their employee's hybrid and flexible working. They enjoy working collaboratively 3 days per week in the office. The senior leaders within the business understand how important is balancing work and family life so their core hours are 10am-4pm on office days with employees able to make the time up around these hours flexibly from home.

The Person

Experience working within the toy industry is essential due to the nature of the role. I can consider candidates who are currently working at either Key Account Manager or National Account Manager level currently. Smyths experience would be preferred but is not essential. I am looking for a hard working, friendly individual who is a real team player that will hit the ground running within this impressive business.

The role

  • Developing business plans that deliver upon company goals and meet customer needs
  • Deliver product presentations, business proposals and ad plans to customers on time
  • Understand the customer timelines and proactively provide customers with all information and materials required to make decisions and manage business effectively
  • Timely and effective review of actual performance to ensure goals are achieved and adjust plans as necessary
  • Manage customer specific budgets and update salesforce
  • Analysis of sell through data and market intelligence to maximize business opportunities while minimising risk
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with customers; and provide fast solutions to challenges
  • Work proactively and effectively with team members to deliver best possible customer service
  • Work in a team environment, providing feedback and coaching to your account management team
  • Develop innovative sales and marketing led account plans that will maximise performance within each account
  • Co-ordinate trade marketing and marketing activity within your accounts to ensure delivery of planned volume, distribution and profit targets
  • Maximise account profitability through strategic business planning including, delivery of volume, revenue and margin and creative promotional work and good use of data to provide category solutions
  • Accurate forecasting and working closely with the planning team to ensure stock is delivered to accounts as required
  • Actively work as part of a team to create a solution oriented culture, leading by example
