Adecco are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Engineer (electrical bias), for a large manufacturing company. This position will be based at their site in Batley, Kirklees, West Yorkshire.

Salary Package from £51,730 - £58,196 (includes shift allowance and annual company bonus)

Rotating days and nights shift pattern, 12-hour shifts

Our clients factory have an opportunity to join a dynamic team! Embrace the opportunity to use your existing skills while developing new ones through a comprehensive training plan. Focus on machine maintenance for specialised equipment, including flow wrapping, pick and place robotics, and secondary and tertiary packaging machinery.

Collaborate as part of a four-person team under the guidance of the Engineering Team Leader to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on production lines, and take ownership of designated areas, driving continuous improvement (CI) through digitalised analysis at your fingertips.

What are we looking for?

  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering qualification such as HNC, plus Mechanical understanding or qualification.
  • Working knowledge in Rockwell PLC including fault finding and diagnosing.
  • Interest in developing your leadership skills and career progression.
  • Strong passion and drive for getting results and a proactive nature.
  • An interest in being trained on a variety of technologies and expanding your skillset.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Provide shift leadership for day to day running of the factory, FMOS execution, PET technical management, coaching and support for line associates.
  • To drive the CI plan for designated area of factory along with Days Reliability Engineer (asset value c. £5 Million).
  • Responsible for delivery of technical training to shift associates and apprentices having responsible for technical upskilling plan for their shift.
  • Accountable for reliability of equipment during shift with a geographic area covering the whole of the Birstall Site.
