The Manchester site is well established as the largest specialist logistics training facility in the UK.

Our organisation provides training for people at all levels, from supporting individuals to gain work to developing senior managers. We also strive to improve learners’ life prosects by offering programmes such as mental health and wellbeing, digital skills, English and Maths.

Through our two key brands of The Job Gym and The National Logistics Academy and utilising several different types of government funding that we have successfully secured, we help thousands of learners each year to gain new skills. This creates a talent pipeline that supports the long-term growth of industry, while also enhancing career prospects and the progression opportunities for our learners.

We work with some of the biggest brands in the country, including Aldi, Wincanton and AO, delivering approximately 400 Apprenticeships, over 2500 Large Goods Vehicle licences and 1,100 Forklift Truck licences each year. The organisation is dedicated to deliver interventions that develop the ‘Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours to enable learners to thrive in life and work’.

We have exciting opportunities for Multi Skilled Tutors to join our friendly team. These positions are full-time roles, working 37.5 hours a week based in Middleton, Greater Manchester. Some flexibility will be required to support our after-hours delivery model.

Role

Your main purpose is to work within the Employability/Job Gym Department, delivering various course qualifications, creating individual learning plans and reviewing learner progress throughout their programmes. You will be required to inspire a wide range of learner cohorts at our Middleton site and virtually using both online and offline skills support materials.

Skills & Qualifications

  • ICT, English and Math’s qualifications all at L2 or above
  • Functional Skills Level 2 Minimum (Essential)
  • PTLLS / CTLLS (Desirable)
  • L5 Teaching Qualification (Desirable)
  • Information, Advice and Guidance L3 or above (Desirable)

Essential

You will be required to have prior experience of at least two of the following subject areas:

  • Mental Health & Wellbeing (lead subject)
  • CSCS (lead subject)
  • CSCS Pathway
  • Customer Service
  • Securing Employment
  • Warehouse
  • Cleaning
  • Any additional courses that arise that meet your skills and experience.

  • £24k - £26k per annum DOE.
