Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer

Your new company
A large food producer with multiple sites across the UK that operates in four key categories: Flavourings & Seasonings; Quick Meals, Snacks & Soups; Ambient Desserts and Cooking Sauces & Accompaniments, with a very strong presence in the UK market, is looking for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join their ever-growing team.

Your new role
As a multi-skilled maintenance engineer, you will be expected to undertake planned & reactive maintenance work of both mechanical and electrical requirements within agreed timescales and to a high standard, ensuring machine/process up-time meets business requirements, complete a full range of maintenance activities across the entire installed, asset base within the area that you are deployed in, maintain all site equipment and facilities to the highest standard by ensuring safe working practices are adhered to at all times, contribute to the running of the production operation. The position will be in a shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts, day and night.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for the Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer role, you will be expected to have the following skills and knowledge:

• Strong multi-engineering skills (essentially mechanical and electrical) and qualifications
• Experience with PLC/VSDs/Inverters
• Experience of 3ph motors, pumps and control systems
• Experience of pneumatic systems and controls
• Previous experience in a fast-paced engineering environment would be a distinct advantage.

What you'll get in return
Upon securing the Multi-skilled Shift Engineer role, you'll be offered a salary of up to £49,800, plus premium overtime rates.
