Would you love to play a pivotal role in the team at the newly transformed Ford Transmissions site in Halewood?


Ford is investing £355m into the Halewood site to produce electric power units and Halewood will be the first site to manufacture EV components in Europe, commencing in 2024 with a capacity of 420,000 units.


Salary: £43,912.80
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00 - 15:30 and Friday 7:00 - 12:30 (must be flexible to work shift patterns when required)

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Completed Electrical or Mechanical Level 3 or 4 Apprenticeship
  • Candidate to preferably have experience in a process plant environment working on various pumps, motors and associated control systems.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Plan and carry out preventive maintenance actions on machines and associated equipment.
  • Including all electrical, PLC, refrigeration and mechanical functions.
  • Take and analyse effluent samples
  • Collate data from the preventive maintenance actions and analyse information so as to plan required item

replacement and overhaul.

  • Overhaul machine parts wherever possible to avoid need to buy new.
  • Identify and carry out machine improvement actions to improve performance / OEE improvements.
  • Focus on identifying and implementation of root cause fix for breakdowns
  • Schedule maintenance improvements and 5 why generation - continuous improvements.
  • Kaizen activities; safety, environment, cost reductions.

To meet a number of the above requirements, the candidate will be required to complete training which will be provided by Ford in the following:

  • F-Gas regulations
  • MEWP training
  • Confined Spaces training
