Role: Multi Skilled Operative - Wet Trades

Location: Barnstaple and surrounding areas

Salary: Up to £30,794.64 per annum depending on experience - plus benefits

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent - full time

The Role

The purpose of this role is to be one of several Multi Skilled Operatives working either on the planned, voids and response team carrying out general maintenance to customer’s homes, including responsive repairs and minor works in Barnstaple and the surrounding areas.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • To carry out a wide range of high quality repairs to domestic dwellings, utilising most craft trade skills, including diagnosing and rectifying faults, in accordance with the Company’s repair obligations, to the customer’s satisfaction as far as possible.
  • To plan and manage work effectively
  • To accurately account for all materials used in carrying out works orders, and to maintain an adequate van stock to enable all normal minor repairs to be effected on one visit
  • Develop effective working relationships with colleagues, partners and key stakeholders

About You

  • You will be looking to work for a supportive company delivering valuable services to the local community.
  • You will have demonstrable experience in wet trades, drylining and masonry.
  • You will have additional experience of basic carpentry, wall tiling, patch plastering and painting and decorating.
  • You will have working knowledge of health & safety principles.
  • You will work well in a team environment, be comfortable working independently and be supportive of others.
  • Hold a full drivers licence.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Basic DBS check.
