At FILTROX Carlson Ltd, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and improvement of our production equipment. You will play a crucial role in achieving world-class standards, maximising plant availability, and driving continuous improvements in reliability, productivity, quality, and cost reduction. The site is currently undergoing a large capital investment with the addition of a new production line.


Responsibilities:

  • Actively involved with all aspects of Health and Safety on site.
  • Provide effective and efficient reactive electrical & mechanical maintenance support, documenting findings in a CMMS system and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Develop and adhere to electrical & mechanical Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Predictive Maintenance routines, using KPIs to track progress and share results.
  • Fault identification and preventive measures to reduce machine downtime.
  • Oversee refurbishments, installations, improvements, and modifications to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.
  • Carry out reliability routines, including PPMs, Electrical Standards, CBM routines, to enhance asset performance.
  • Source and order parts/equipment from preferred suppliers as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager in identifying and estimating small electrical/mechanical projects to drive material usage, efficiency, uptime, and maintenance cost improvements.


What we’re looking for:

  • Completed recognised Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship.
  • Time served, City & Guilds/BTEC or similar
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in maintaining automated manufacturing equipment/FMCG - preferred.
  • Preferably qualified to 18th Edition level or able to obtain 18th Edition certification within 6 months.

  • Ensure compliance with Company Health & Safety policies and regulations.
  • Promote and follow safety measures.

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Carry out all other duties commensurate with the position, or as determined by the Engineering Manager / Directors to satisfy the business objectives.
